Facilities Projects 2017/2018

The Board of Directors of the GYTABIA agreed to fund the following projects for 2018 :

Restoration of the Caister Village Sign – the sign was originally installed in 1971 by the womens Institute and th paintwork and support pole were in a weathered state.  Through funding it has been restored to it’s original state using traditional materials.

Hemsby Hanging Baskets – In previous years GYTABIA has also funded the Hemsby Hanging Baskets which have gained fame far and wide.  This year once again due to it’s success the board have agreed to fund them for 2018

Hemsby Beach & Toilet Cleaning – Cleansing of the public toilets and beach on a regular basis from Easter through to the end of October

Winterton in Bloom – Investment in the very successful Winterton in Bloom project

Seafront CCTV – to ensure the safety of people living, working, visiting and holidaying promoted through the use of public space surveillance supported by a 24 hour control room with direct radio links to police headquarters and participating businesses

Footfall Counter – Situated at the junction of Regent Road and Marine Parade and is used as key performance indicators to measure footfall along Regent Road and Marine Parade.  These are used in conjunction with car parking figures and the volume and value figures Cambridge model which is a recognised industry standard
