Marketing plans for the financial year 1st October 2016 to 30th September 2017 have been approved – this year’s 2-3 hour drive time radius target audience is North London and Essex with a Heart radio campaign booked from Easter to the middle of September and TV media also bought to cover this area.
Two TV adverts are being broadcast this year – the new TV campaign targeting people looking for destinations for a short break, long weekend or mid-week holiday is being shown on Sky and on Video on Demand on ITV from March to May with the target of increasing staying visitors in May and June. The family TV advert will be shown from June to July encouraging peak week summer season holidays and day trips.
The family focused TV advert will also be shown in the East of England market from June to July covering postcode areas CO, IP, NR, CB and PE. Around 30% of our visitors come from this area.
A digital campaign took place from March to May in partnership with Britainisgreat.com, rolling out new ‘behind the scenes‘ films to a target audience within a 2-3 hour drive time radius of Great Yarmouth, aiming to change perception and improve awareness of the area. This campaign has been backed up on Greater Yarmouth’s Facebook page with boosted posts within the target area. Additional film production is planned for later in May.
