Skies over Great Yarmouth seafront will be swathed in vivid colours in a free half term triple firework display when Visit Great Yarmouth delivers another special October Big Wednesday.
Fireworks will be set off at three seafront locations on Wednesday October 28th at 6.30pm in a final pyrotechnic extravaganza for 2026.

And up the coast at Hemsby, Visit Great Yarmouth will deliver its first drone light show on Big Tuesday on October 27th at 8pm when 200 drone lights will create unique shapes in the sky over the beach.
Both events give traders the chance to maximise on extra autumn visitors drawn by the free events, building on the success of the summer’s Big Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
This week, Great Yarmouth’s Big Wednesdays were announced as finalists in in the Suffolk and Norfolk Tourism Awards’ Event and Festival of the Year Award 2027 for its six summer Big Wednesday events of firework spectaculars, dramatic drone light formations and a pyrotechnic plane.
Nathan Race, Chair of Visit Great Yarmouth, said: “Our destination is becoming increasingly popular for visitors – day trips, short breaks and holidays – in autumn half term. Free fireworks and aerial displays are fantastic crowd pullers for families for both Great Yarmouth and Hemsby. We are delighted to be able to support businesses and traders maximise on extra custom outside the former traditional ‘season,’ which is ever-changing and extending.”

Visit Great Yarmouth CEO Asa Morrison said: “Working with our providers, we will once again deliver three displays at the same time on central beach, creating an amazing display. It worked incredibly well last year.
“Hemsby missed out on a drone show in the summer because of the weather when the Great Yarmouth crowds enjoyed its first drone show. We are delighted to have been able to reschedule to provide a spectacle of unique shapes using 200 drones.”
Big Wednesdays are among six events shortlisted in the Suffolk and Norfolk Tourism Awards’ Event and Festival of the Year Award 2027.
