Visit England have carried out an extensive survey from visitors who have a range accessibility issues.  The survey showed that if visitors find an accommodation or attraction with requirements that meet their needs the repeat visit percentage is extremely high.

Visit England are encouraging all Destination Management Organisations throughout the UK to include accessibility pages on their website to highlight attractions and accommodations and their accessibility options.  To that end we will be publishing a page on our website www.visitgreatyarmouth.co.uk under the Visit Information page – Accessible Holidays.

A new piece of software has been developed for this information and In order for your business to be featured and to be found using a search engine on our website you will have to complete a simple webpage questionnaire which is a simple tick box exercise and will take no longer than 3 to 5 minutes to complete.  Once this webpage has been completed and submitted your listing will automatically update with the facilities that you have entered. Below are the range of webpage questionnaires for the different sectors, please note within the questionnaire it is extremely important that you add your website URL for your business in the appropriate box, which can be found in the address bar of your listing.  If you have any problems finding or accessing this URL please contact us and we will send you the information required.

This new software will be activated in approximately 12 weeks time allowing time for you to compile the information required.

Please note that if you currently have any accessibility features listed on your listing once the new system is activated in 12 week time your current accessibility features will not be shown unless you have filled in the attached web form. The information that you provide will automatically update on your listing once the system is live.

Please also note that this is not a compulsory exercise for inclusion on our website but if you do have accessibility features within your accommodation it will act as a vital piece of information when helping our visitors who have additional needs select their accommodation. If you do not have any accessibility features, you do not need to fill in the web form and your listing will remain as it is.
